Obituary of Karen Payne

Karen K. (Hansen) Payne, 69, of Glastonbury, died Wednesday November 6, 2013 at home after a long illness. Born November 9, 1943, the daughter of the late Robert and Ada (McKinley) Hansen, Karen received her nursing degree from St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, PA before moving to Blue Knob, PA. Karen moved to CT in 1985, living in Madison, CT, prior to moving to Glastonbury six years ago. Karen was a long time member and former CT Wing Commander of Civil Air Patrol. Karen was predeceased by her sister Lise Lindeman. She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands; Valerie and Jerry Salsgiver of Glastonbury, CT and Cheryl and Chris Lemos of Stratford, CT, her grandchildren Gaby and Edward, brother-in-law Ronald Lindeman of VA, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday Nov. 9 at 1:30pm in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury with the Rev. Scott Lee officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 12 noon until time of the service.
