Obituary of Marjorie Poehler

Marjorie (Stout) Poehler, 91, of East Hartford, CT. wife of the late William E. Poehler, went to be with the Lord Saturday December 14, 2013 at home. Born December 25, 1921 in Springfield, MA, daughter of the late Edgar and Hazel (Hickson) Stout, she was a lifelong resident of Springfield moving to East Hartford four years ago. Prior to her retirement she worked for Steigers Co. Marjorie loved to play bingo and spend time with her family. She was special to so many people and will be truly missed by all that knew her. Marjorie is survived by a son Gerald O. Poehler and his wife Joyce E. Yoo of East Hartford, a daughter Elizabeth Merrill of Springfield, son-in-law Paul MacDaniel of Springfield, brother-in-law Paul Poehler of Houston, TX, a sister-in-law Dottie Golden of Phillipi, WV, four grandchildren; Sharon Ashey of Springfield, Kelly Mortimer of Westfield, Laura Wadas of Katy, TX, Heather Torres of Springfield, fourteen great grandchildren and her constant companion Badger. She was predeceased by a daughter Barbara Jean MacDaniel, a granddaughter Jessica Williams and a sister Marion Natalini. A memorial service will be celebrated on Friday Dec. 20 at 11am in the Foster Memorial Church, UCC, 1791 Wilbraham Rd., Springfield, MA.
