Having lunch today with a couple of " ex-Paiersites"..Beth's name came up in conversation about a long ago Paier alumni show that we had both exhibited in. This is when I found out about Beth's passing, Looking at some of the photo's posted returned memories of her focus while she painted, and above all - her smile.
. My belated condolences to her spouse Kathleen and her extended family.

We would like to add our condolances to the family and friends of Beth. My wife and I met Beth in her gallery in Ogunquit on a couple of occations and, besides admiring her work, found her to be a warm, genuine and beautiful person. We also purchased two of her works, which are hanging in our cottage in Wells, ME.

Auntie B - 2 weeks and I can hardly believe you are gone. I can still hear your voice and see your beautiful smile when I close my eyes. I know your spirit is free now of all earthly limitations and for that reason my heart feels peace - but I can't help be sad too, I miss you so much. I am so blessed to have you as my aunt, and so thankful that you brought K into our family - we shared so many special and unique moments, some of which were the most important and life changing events I will ever experience. I am so glad you got to know my children - we are ALL better people for having known your warm, calming, fun - loving personality. I will carry you with me for the rest of my days...until we meet again. I love you Auntie B. xoxox

As tears roll down my face I turn back the pages And think of a better place The early years, the learning years Some forty plus years ago Could not wait for the summer weekend to arrive North on 95 to be there by five A quaint little cottage on the river by the sea The sign on the front set the rules on how to be ARGUNOT was the name not sure of the spelling One thing for sure It was not just a dwelling There was Ann & Grace in this special place Sometimes over crowded they always had space Always welcomed with open arms One girl for certain with unique charms Twinkle twinkle little star My "Dear Beth " you're not too far I close my eyes I can see you I close my eyes I can dream of you I will love you forever And someday I'll see you again You made me laugh and you made me cry There was no time for goodbye But when the dawn breaks and the darkness disappears I'll greet you with tears of joy Kathleen,Sharon,Marianne and all the cousins, relatives etc. I was privileged to have known.... I will never forget my first summer art experience with you in Maine. Carefully, showing me how to mix colors and lay out my pallet and telling me to "squint" when I look at things. My pieces looked like a 5 year old did them but you saw the beauty in them. You helped me grow artistically and as a person and I continue to grow because of what you taught me. You will always be an inspiration to me in my artwork. You were more that just a teacher to me, you were and always will be my friend. I will miss you and will think of you whenever I touch my brush to a canvas. I Love You!

I'll always remember my Best Friend from 6th( St. Josephs) to Waltham High School, and yes, the fun we had in Waltham. Beth and her "older" sister Sharon taught me the finer art of makeup application, as well as ins and outs of flirting with french canadians at the Waltham Skating rink. And her dear "little" sister Maryanne,I;m so sorry. Brother John seemed to, mostly ignore us--smart man. And your dear grandfather, who was living with you at the time, and the Christmas morning Beth called to say that he'd passed. I reconnected online with Beth several years back, but despite my parents now living in Wells, I never saw her again. I'll always keep her in my memories and smile when I think of the good times. Love and peace to all.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Beth's passing. I have had the pleasure and honor of brief meetings, thoughtful handwritten notes, and meaningful phone conversations with Beth over the past 8 years or so. This summer my wife and I met with Beth in her gallery in Perkins Cove and we commented after about her warm eyes, her thoughtful and calming presence. As we were saying goodbye, I awkwardly said "I'm not much of a hugger, but I know I will regret it if I don't give you a hug." So glad I did. I will remember her patience, her interest, her kind comments, the generous time she would spend on the phone discussing the paintings I purchased, the time she would not let me take possession of the Nubble Light painting until she took it back to her studio and adjusted the red on one of the outbuildings -- it wasn't quite right and it had been nagging at her. Beth was always so genuinely pleased and honored when my wife and I purchased one of her paintings -- but we are the ones blessed to own more than a dozen of her special works in oil. I will miss her, I will miss the excitement every summer of seeing her new masterpieces, the thrill of a new purchase, and the warmth in her voice. I miss her already. She was a special and talented woman who will not be forgotten.
