Obituary of Gerda Day

Gerda (Zimmermann) Day, 86, of East Hartford, wife of the late Eben G. Day, died Sunday January 26, 2014 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born January 31, 1927 in Germany daughter of the late Alfred and Frieda (Schultz) Zimmermann, she had lived in East Hartford since 1969. Gerda was a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino. She is survived by her five children; Richard Day and his wife Zinda of East Hartford, Robert Day and his wife Rose of British Columbia, Dorothy Just and her fiancé Robert Devine of East Hartford, Susan Anselmo and her husband Rocco of South Windsor, Lorraine Day and her fiancé Michael Lanteigna of East Hartford, nine grandchildren; Erica, Bobby, Brett, Tracy, Matt, Kristen and her husband Ryan, Abby, Kaytlyn and Nikki and six great grandchildren including her special great grandson Maxie.
