Obituary of Merece Goodwin

Merece (LeGeyt) Goodwin, 78, of Glastonbury, wife of the late James F. Goodwin, died Sunday January 26, 2014 at home. Born September 11, 1935 in Hartford, daughter of the late Clinton and Annette (LeDoux) LeGeyt, she had lived in Glastonbury since 1967. Merece graduated from Wethersfield High School and UCONN School of Pharmacy. She was a pharmacist at Franklin Drug Store in Glastonbury and Glastonbury Drug Store and also pharmacies in Marlborough and Colchester. She was a communicant of St. Dunstan Church and a member of their choir. She was active with the Glastonbury Little League and a member of the Glastonbury Senior Center. Merece is survived by two daughters and their spouses; Jane and Lee Griffin of East Hartford, Judy and Ron Anatone of North Haven, a brother James LeGeyt and his wife Rose Marie of Wethersfield, a niece Nicole Arsenault and her husband Mike of Cromwell, a nephew Clint LeGeyt and his wife Nicole of Camas, WA and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Jimmy Goodwin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday Jan 31, at 12 noon in St. Dunstan Church, 1345 Manchester Rd., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury Friday morning from 10:30 until 11:30am.
