Obituary of Rosalind Bennett

Rosalind S. Bennett, 94, of Glastonbury, CT passed away on March 11, 2014. She was born in Taylorville, IL on June 12, 1919. She is survived by two sons John and James and her brother John M. Senneff of Tonawanda, NY. Rosalind came to Connecticut during World War II to work at Pratt & Whitney as a chemist. She also worked as a teacher in Glastonbury and for the Connecticut Health Department from which she retired. She settled in Glastonbury with her husband Francis Harold Bennett, deceased, where she has lived for over 60 years. She was a founding member of the Glastonbury Women's club, a member and past president of the Evergreen Garden Club, a Flower Show Master Judge and a founding member of the Glastonbury chapter of the DAR. She was an avid horticulturist, photographer. A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday April 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in First Church of Christ, Congregational, 2183 Main St., Glastonbury.
