Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I truly loved Betty who shared the first name and many of the same personal traits as my mother; humor, grit, and loyalty. We worked together at Travelers for many years, and kept in touch thereafter.

For my Dear Myron, Charlotte, Linda, Fritz: (which is the order your dad used to shout out your names from the doorstep at Wright's Lane when it was time to come in from play--) Somehow, I am not surprised by the timing of Betty's passing... Now our mom's will be together in Paradise. Funny, something about all you Varner's strikes a deep chord in me; and your mom remains part of that deep tenderness.
