Obituary of Pirkko-Liisa FitzPatrick

Pirkko-Liisa (Fay Hogan) FitzPatrick, 65, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of Michael T. FitzPatrick, died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at home after being diagnosed with brain tumor in May 2010. Born in Lahti, Finland, daughter of the late Aaro and Aira (Kumpulainen) Siltaharju, she had lived in Glastonbury since 2002. She was an Administrative Assistant, having started with Confederation Life Insurance Co. in Toronto, Canada and then worked for Israeli Bonds in NYC followed by The Hartford for 10 years and the Travelers for 5 years. Besides her husband she is survived by her brother-in-law Scott FitzPatrick, a daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Stephen Shade of Annapolis, MD, a sister Maya MacLennan and her husband Ian of Toronto, Canada, 3 brothers Roy Siltaharju, Jim Siltaharju, Ken Siltaharju all of Toronto, Canada and 2 grandchildren Carson and Emily Shade. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Dec. 26, at 11am in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30am.
