Obituary of Elizabeth Dombrowski

Elizabeth M. Dombrowski, of Glastonbury, passed away peacefully at home October 6, 2014 after a long illness. Born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Charles and Anna (Maguire) Jones, Elizabeth graduated from Catherine McAuley High School and worked for J.P. Stevens in Manhattan before marrying Lawrence in 1967. She relocated to Connecticut where she made her home first in Bridgeport and then in Monroe for 44 years prior to moving to her final home in Glastonbury with her daughter and family. A devoted wife, mother, and friend, Elizabeth also enjoyed decorative painting, reading, and UConn Women's Basketball. She leaves behind her husband Lawrence, daughter Theresa, son-in-law Sean Forbes, and her two cherished grandsons, Connor and Hunter Forbes. The family would like to thank the staff of the Hartford VNA Home Health Care for their care and support. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 10, 2014, 9:15am from Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. James Roman Catholic Church, 896 Main St., Manchester. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday, October 9 from 4-7pm.
