Obituary of George Oldman

George Oldman, 90, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Eileen (Erickson) Oldman, died Thursday November 13, 2014 at home. Born December 21, 1923 in New Haven, CT., son of the late George and Jean (Dickson) Oldman he had lived in Glastonbury since 1955. Prior to his retirement in 1983 he was a Tool Maker in Department 34, Master Mechanics Group, at Pratt & Whitney for 37 years. Besides his wife he is survived by; 3 sons Bill Oldman of Cromwell, Rob Oldman of Glastonbury, Dave Oldman and his wife Tammy of San Francisco, CA, a brother Donald Oldman and his wife Louise of NC, 5 grandchildren Lindsay, Becky and Samantha Oldman of Cromwell, Melia and Kai Oldman of San Francisco, CA., and many beloved nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for having every single tool needed by all on his street, and sharing his pool with all of the neighborhood children. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday Nov. 18 at 11am in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
