Obituary of Lillian Levasseur

Lillian M. Levasseur, 90, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of the late Joseph Levasseur, died November 20, 2014, at Glastonbury Health Care. Born to the late Frederick and Mabel (Gagne) Coulombe, on July 21, 1924, in Lewiston, ME, Lillian was a lifelong cat lover. She worked as a clerk for Travelers Insurance for 28 years, and was also employed by TJ Maxx for 15 years. Besides her passion for cats, Lillian enjoyed playing bingo and doing puzzles. Lillian is survived by her sons, Gerald Levasseur and his wife Maxine of Glastonbury, Paul Levasseur and his wife Linda of Glastonbury, Richard Levasseur of Torrington, David Levasseur and his wife Cheryl of VA, her daughter, Lorraine Gauvreau and her husband Robert, of FL, her 12 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren, as well as her sister-in-law, Beverley Coulombe of New Hampshire, and several nieces and nephews. Lillian also leaves behind three special friends, Cecile Comeau, and Janice and Rick Depietro, all of East Hartford. She was predeceased by her daughter, Joanne Levasseur, and her brother, Frederick Coulombe, Jr.. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Tuesday, November 25, at 10 a.m., in St. Dunstan Church, 1345 Manchester Rd., Glastonbury. Interment will follow immediately in St. Mary Cemetery, East Hartford. Friends may call Monday, November 24, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
