Obituary of Gail Dondi

Gail (Gardiner) Dondi, 81, of Glastonbury, wife for 62 years to the late Henry J. Dondi, died Thursday March 5, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. Born February 16, 1934 in Hartford, daughter of the late Elmer and Esther (Taylor) Gardiner, she was a lifelong resident of Glastonbury. Prior to her retirement in the early 90's she was a supervisor at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 38 years. Gail was a member of the Nayaug Fife and Drum Corps. She is survived by a son Michael P. Dondi of Glastonbury, a granddaughter and her husband Alicia and Paolo Fiducia, Jr. of Glastonbury, 2 brothers and their wives, Leon and Gail Gardiner of Hebron, John and Lynn Gardiner of Marlborough, 2 sisters and their husbands, Nancy and Dennis Quigley of East Hartford and Ruth and Ken Johnson of Glastonbury. She was predeceased by 2 sisters and a brother, Diane Kristoff, David Gardiner and Donna Gardiner. The family would like to thank Gail's caregivers Misty, Krystal, Jacqueline, Cynthia and CC from "care for me at home" for the wonderful care and compassion given to Gail. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday March 10 at 10am in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Green Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Monday March 9 from 4-7pm.
