Obituary of Orest Zajac
Orest "Andy" Zajac, 69, beloved husband of Helene (Barabe) Zajac, of Manchester, formerly of Windsor, died Thursday March 19, 2015, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Preugil, Germany, Andy grew up in Hartford and lived in Bristol and Windsor before moving to Manchester. He served in the United States Air Force from 1965 to 1969, and was employed by SNET for 38 years. Besides his loving wife of 45 years, he is survived by his beloved son, Stephan Zajac, of Portland, CT, his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Selena and Santo Pizzo of Glastonbury, CT, his brothers and sisters-in-law Myron Zajac and Linda Williams of Colchester, CT and Roman Zajac and Frances Zajac Calafiore of Hartford, CT, his five grandchildren Kelsey and Amanda and their mother, Kristen Zajac, and Ashley, Jonathan, and Andrea, and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, March 23 at 10:00 AM at Saint Dunstan Church 1345 Manchester Road, Glastonbury, CT followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends are invited to Mulryan Funeral Home Sunday, March 22 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, 725 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury, CT.
