I wanted to speak at church but was unable to even sing with sadness at the thought of not talking to Mom again. When I first met her at Steve's 60th birthday party, she greeted me at the door with a big hug. From then on she was my "Mom", my friend and a person I could talk to about anything at anytime.

Aunt Martha will be dearly missed. I have many fond memories of her at Stavens family cookouts. One of the best cooks I know. I still make her antipasto squares form the Shriner's Cookbook she gave me when I got married. Her sugar cookies were also my favorite.
