Obituary of Sean St. James

Sean M. St. James, 39, of Glastonbury, beloved son and brother, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Monday Nov. 8, 2010 at Hartford Hospital. Born March 10, 1971 in Hartford he lived in Glastonbury most of his life. Sean graduated from Glastonbury High School in 1989 and from Manchester Community College in conjunction with Hartford Hospital School of Allied Health where he was inducted as a member into Phi Theta Kappa. Sean's personality and sense of humor brought much joy and laughter to his family and friends. His two major passions in life were music and medicine which he demonstrated as a talented percussionist and as an accomplished Surgical Technologist at area hospitals. In high school he received the Jonathan Mark Hale Memorial Scholarship and at MCC he received the award for outstanding Allied Health Student. Sean is survived by his loving mother Kathleen Crowley of Glastonbury, his father Philip St. James and his wife Linda of Arizona, his brother Timothy St. James and his wife Andrea of Enfield, his grandfather William A. Crowley of Glastonbury, two nieces Kaitlyn and Avery St. James, his aunts and uncles Terry and Barbara Crowley, Jim and Sheryl Crowley, Louis and Joanne St. James, Roger and Lynn St. James, Dennis and Kathy St. James, Jeanne and Marty Roush, Mark and Eileen St. James, Anne and Burt Despard, Jim St. James and Debbie Dahms, numerous loving cousins, and his best friend Tom Rymarzick and his family. The family would like to extend its heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and doctors of Hartford Hospital's Cardiac ICU, especially Julie and Michelle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday Nov. 12 at 10 am in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury Thursday Nov 11 from 5-7 pm. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
