Bill, there has always been a special place in my heart for your dad. He was always so respectful, honest, caring and funny. I feel blessed to have had a chance to get to know him and work with him at Lego. May his memories live forever! Best, Kelly

I am sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I worked with Bill at one of my first jobs (1983) out of college...at LEGO Systems. I was in Cost Accounting, so Bill and I had frequent contact. I remember Bill as a kind gentleman...and intelligent! He always had a perpetual smile on his face and was a pleasure to be around. He was one of those people who would light up a room with his smile and personality. I remember that one of his daughters worked for LEGO during the summer, and Bill was very proud of her. I have lost touch with Bill over the years, but he and his family will be in my prayers. God Bless You Bill!

I was sad to hear of Bill's passing this week. During my many days working at LEGO during Bill's time there, I could always count on his ready smile. He had an enormous sense of fun about him and was always a pleasure to be around. My memories of Bill contain not a single negative--high praise for the measure of this man. My sincere sympathies to his entire family. We just lost one of the good guys.

Back in 1981, I was a 50+ having trouble getting a job. Bill, against the advise of many people, gave me a break and took a chance on adding me to his team. For the next 12 years, through ups and downs of running a high speed operation, we became good friends both in the work setting and on a personal basis. Some of my best memories were listening to the many things that happened to him during his vacations. Since retirement, I, and wife Dot, have always looked forward to get togethers with Bill and Marilyn. We will miss his ever present smile and good nature and I am sure he will be a welcome addition to heaven

Bill Skelley was a wonderful friend, classmate and, above all, a loved team mate. He was a true leader and loved by the members of the football team. As one of the co-captains on our undefeated team, Bill provided the 'heart' and the necessary will to win. While he was recognized as a leader on the athletic field, he was also a humorist in the locker room, where, at one time or another, we all became the 'butt' of his great sense of humor. Bill excelled not only on the gridiron but in the classroom as well. He was always held in high esteem by team members and by the student body - he was a person who possessed great leadership, integrity and love of his fellow man. My prayers go out to Marilyn and his loving family. Rest in peace my friend. Felix Karsky

Were were so blessed when Bill and Marilyn moved in across the street from us in South Glastonbury. Having Bill across the street was like having a Dad move in. We enjoyed many good laughs and talks about life sitting on his front porch. Bill loved to sit outside and enjoy the neighborhood and the gift of a beautiful day. He was so proud of his family and grandchildren. We will miss hearing about his childhood, the lastest meal he was cooking up, and his love of Rhode Island. Our boys loved his laugh and joking with him about the "Big Bad Wolf" and appreciated playing in the treehouse he generously shared with them. Most of all, we will miss his sparkling eyes and warm smile. He truly was one of the most decent human beings you could know. We are so saddened by the loss of a beautiful person and neighbor. Please accept our deepest sympathies. His love will live on in your hearts.
