To Peg : Scantic River On the shores of the Scantic The trudging, twisting Scantic The non-obliging Scantic A challenged spirit forged. In notes of larks and sparrows, In feathers grasped and cherished, On the Scantic narrows Above marsh, muck and sorrow. Now the orange leafs lay tiled Suspended on the surface Suspended on the Scantic As a voiceless story soars. In song of youth remembered In song of Scantic lore In song of youth unencumbered On the Scantic shores. Peg , we love and miss you. I always looked forward to 'thumbing' home from college - just to see you burst out the door to give me a 'lion hug'. I know you could have done much better than the above (and I apologize to Longfellow) your thoughts and insights were so often spot on and challenging. You will always be that young and beautiful red headed sister and aunt in our thoughts stories and prayers. Dan, Julie Aaron, Kim

Peggy will be missed by all who knew her, especially her sister Catherine, Kevin and her niece Megan Riley. They shared many adventures and the fond memories will never be forgotten. My sympathy to all her family.
