Obituary of John Meehan
John P. Meehan, 93, of Bolton, beloved husband of Edith (Wilke) Meehan, died Tuesday March 8, 2011 at Vernon Manor. Born August 14, 1917 in Guttenberg, NJ, son of the late John and Frieda (Feiss) Meehan he had lived in Jamesburg, NJ for 40 years moving to Bolton in 2003. Prior to his retirement in 1983 he was a Financial Planner for the US Navy Exchange. Mr. Meehan graduated with a BS from Pace University and an MBA from Columbia University. He had served in the US Army as a Second Lieutenant during World War 2. While living in New Jersey he was a longtime member of the Plainsboro Senior Citizens Club. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Carol E. and Kenneth Hodder of Bolton, 4 grandchildren and their spouses; Jeffrey and Jessica Hodder of Bolton, Meridith and Rob Marshall of San Marcos, CA., David Hodder of Laurel, MD., John Hodder of Newington and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral and burial with military honors will be private.
