Obituary of Anne Donnellan
Anne Sophie Donnellan, 95, of East Hartford, CT died peacefully on March 21, 2010. She was the beloved wife of James Donnellan who predeceased her. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister she walked gently upon the earth and was known for her kindness and beauty. Anne was born in Collinsville, CT, the second child of eleven. Her siblings were a close and important part of her life. Anne's passion was her family, and she devoted her entire life to the nurturing of her husband and three daughters. She enjoyed baking and gardening, often combining these two talents to produce special treats in her kitchen. She was a member of the Ladies Guild of Saint Rose Church and also a communicant of Saint Christopher's Church. Her life was a lesson in spiritual grace. Anne's passing will be greatly mourned by her daughters Joyce and her husband Dr. William B. Lehmann of Marlborough, Francine Brown and her husband Richard of Enfield, her son-in-law Paul Bernier of Florida, her sisters, Helen Dlubac of Burlington, Rosalie and her husband Jack Florence of East Longmeadow, MA, Theresa and her husband Frank Nascimbeni of Burlington, Agnes Palozie of Broadbrook, Josaphine Tobin of Boone, MD, her brothers Joseph and wife Dorothy Dlubac of Bristol, Paul and wife Elsie Dlubac of Canton, her grandchildren, Donna Murphy of Ronkonkoma, NY, Mark Bernier of Canton,OH, Brian Octigan of Branford, Susan Lehmann of Washington, DC, Cynthia Poglitsch of Windsor, Amy Dietz of Enfield, Erin-Anne Kalkus of Marlborough, and her beautiful great grandchildren, Connor, Logan, Colin, Emma, Grant, Rayanne, Mya and numerous nieces, nephews, and other dear family members and friends, all of whom held a very special place in Anne's heart. She was predeceased by her husband James, her daughter Claire and her sisters Kathryn, Pauline and Mary and her grandson, Richard L. Brown, Jr. The family wishes to especially thank the outpouring of love and support shown to Anne and her family during her illness, and all who touched upon her and the family's needs. We mourn her passing; God celebrates her arrival. Funeral service will be Friday, March 25, 2011, at 9am from the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 am at St. Rose Church, East Hartford. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Hartford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Office of Catholic Radio and Television, Archdiocese of Hartford, 16 Peach Orchard Rd., Prospect, CT 06712-1052.
