Obituary of Niles Tucker

Niles Howard Tucker, 94, of South Glastonbury, beloved husband to the late Mary (Steele) Tucker, died Friday (May 20, 2011) in Portland. Born September 9, 1916 in Ware, MA, son of the late Myron H. and Edna P. (Moats) Tucker he had lived in Glastonbury since 1955. Prior to his retirement in 1981 he worked for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft for over 40 years. Mr. Tucker was a member of the South Congregational Church in South Glastonbury. He is survived by his grandson Michael T. Morris of Portland, Oregon. Besides his wife he was predeceased by his daughter, Nancy Howard Tucker and two older, loving sisters, Louise Howard Tucker and Margaret Eugenia "Jean" Tucker. A memorial service will be Wednesday (May 25, 2011) at 1:00 pm in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury.
