Obituary of Janet Brown

Janet R. Brown, 90, of Glastonbury passed away Sunday July 10, 2011. She was predeceased by her husband Hugh Brown in 2001. Janet was born in Fort Kent, Maine and was a graduate of the University of Maine at Fort Kent. Janet taught elementary school in Maine before moving to Connecticut. She is survived by her children, Phyllis Brown of Glastonbury, Barbara Lewis and her husband Steven of Costa Rica, Robert Brown and his wife Joann of Peoria, Arizona. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Melanie Bridges of East Hartford, Lisa Chartier of Haverhill, MA, Louis DeLoreto of West Hartford, Casey and Riley Brown of Peoria, Arizona and great grandchildren Jordan and Jayla Bridges, Jack and Liam DeLoreto and Colin Chartier. Janet's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Salmon Brook for their care, love and compassion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday July 13 at 10am in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown.
