Obituary of James Cirilli

James Armando Cirilli passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 26, 2012, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on January 15, 1943, in Hartford, Connecticut and grew up in Wethersfield, Connecticut. Jim attended Rider University, was a member of the Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges, and attended a business master's program at the University of Hartford. He served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and worked at Xerox Corporation for over thirty years. After retiring from Xerox in 1998, Jim held a number of sales leadership positions, the last as SVP of Sales and Marketing at Data Capture Solutions, Inc., until he found his true calling as a life and business coach, where he mentored aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners through his volunteer work at SCORE's Hartford Chapter 56. Jim loved spending his summers with his family and friends in Rhode Island - sailing on "Sarge", golfing, playing tennis and reading. A deeply devoted family man, Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Thelma Losi Cirilli, his three children and their spouses: Mark and Lisa Cirilli, Scott and Dana Patten, and David and Katie Cirilli. Jim always said he had eight children, five of whom are "grand". The five "grand" children are: Owen, Callie and TJ Cirilli, and Luke and Maya Patten. Jim was predeceased by his father and mother, Armando and Margaret Cirilli of Wethersfield, Connecticut and his sister Carol. He also leaves his sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Bruce Skiff of Wethersfield, and his sister-in-law, Elaine Losi Driscoll. His beloved nieces and nephews and their children will surely miss, with loving memory, their Uncle Jim. His life will be celebrated at a mass of Christian Burial at St. Dunstan Church, 1345 Manchester Road, Glastonbury at 10:00am on Wednesday, February 29th. A private burial service for immediate family only will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery following mass. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, TODAY from 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers we respectfully request that a memorial donation be sent to either the Jubilee House located at 40 Clifford Street, Hartford, Connecticut 06114, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
