One of Jim's favorite events was their Thanksgiving dinner that he and Ann hosted at the Triangle Cafe, which Jim owned. Jim was a great cook (Brian still has his spaghetti recipe). They would invite family and friends from ages 2 to 75 at these celebrations. After his stroke, Jim and Ann traveled with us to New Hampshire, Aruba, Disney World, Florida, Bermuda for Kerry's wedding, and to his godchild Beth's wedding in Virginia. He was bound and determined when we went into D.C. to see the Lincoln Memorial and he made it happen. He climbed all of those steps. Jim had a great caretaker in his wife Ann and loving best friend, Rascal. He always called her his "little girl." He had an inner strength to endure his disability, and if you asked how he was, he would always say, "good." Jim has left us for now, but we will always remember him. Sleep in peace, brother. Barney

Jim was my brother. We shared a very special bond even though he was seven years older than me. My memories are one of a very protective brother, although I was protective of him too. He was the one that spoke to my husband, Barney, before we got married to tell him to take care of his sister. I love you, my brother. You will always remain in my heart forever. Your sister, Lois

We have fond memories of Uncle Jim especially when he put on his Thanksgiving feasts for the whole family at the Triangle every year. He cooked and fed everyone who came and we fondly remember our family football games with Uncle Jim on the narrow strip of grass by the restaurant. He was always full of fun, jovial and welcomed everyone with open arms. We will miss him but will never forget him.

We have been neighbors of the Sherrys for a little over 2 years. I remember the first time I met Jim and when Rascal's name was mentioned...Jim started to cry. I realized that Rascal was not only a pet to Jim but like a child. I felt so bad for him. The other memory is, when our grandchildren Ivy and Jonah, would visit. While we were there, I was so worried they would make a mess or break something but Jim didn't seemed fazed by them in that manner, rather he really enjoyed the company. Ann also told me that he enjoyed watching the kids from the window. ( he probably watched me chasing after them more than once and trying to keep up with them) They have been good neighbors and Jim will be missed Linda and Marcel Maynard
