Obituary of William Johnston

William F. Johnston, 55, of East Hartford, CT, died March 19, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by his family. Will was an auto mechanic who loved classic cars and motorcycles. He also had a passion for rock music and was a dynamite drummer. Will was born and raised in Glastonbury and attended Glastonbury High School (Class of '74). Will leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, John and Cindy Johnston of East Hartford; his sister, Nancy Lee Johnston of Glastonbury; and his niece, Brittany Johnston of East Hartford. He also leaves behind: aunt and uncle Nancy and Kurt Hellberg of Plymouth, MN; aunt Anne Johnston of Southbury, CT; uncle Charles Kimball of Yuma, AZ; uncle Harold Reed of Framingham, MA; and aunt Ruth Wigandt of Quincy, MA; cousins and a great circle of friends. Will is predeceased by his parents, Dorothy (Reed) Johnston and John Lafayette Johnston. Will's wonderful sense of humor, keen mind, and generous spirit are sorely missed by those who love him. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at the First Church of Christ, 2183 Main St. Glastonbury, CT 06033 with a reception to follow in the church hall.
