Obituary of Janet Kuszai Shvetz
Janet Kuszai Shvetz, 66 (29), beloved wife of Mark Shvetz, passed away on Thursday June 25, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. She was born October 15, 1948 in Manchester, CT, daughter of the late Julius and Jane (Peckham) Kuszai. As a lifelong resident of Glastonbury, she had a wonderful childhood and made sure that her three boys did, too. Janet graduated from Glastonbury High School in 1966 and went on to study at Central Connecticut State University. She also completed hair dressing school and opened her own salon in town. When she found out she was going to be a mother, she sold her business to devote her life to her children. She was always there for them whether they liked it or not. She took them on countless trips to Hershey Park, Disney World, Las Vegas, and even across the country for an entire summer. She made sure that they had the best of everything and was always very proud of them. Mom loved holidays, especially Christmas, when the entire family could be together. She will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Besides her husband she is survived by three sons, David J. Shvetz and his wife Julie of Colchester, Justin E. Shvetz of Glastonbury, Todd A. Shvetz of Newington and his girlfriend Dana Saccomano of Manchester, two sisters and their husbands, Deborah and Richard Kowalsky of Glastonbury, Ada and Robert Thistle of Johnston, RI, her first granddaughter Meadow Jane Shvetz of Colchester, a sister-in-law Susan Pedersen and her husband Robert of Ivoryton, her nieces and nephews, Richard and Jason Kowalsky, Heather Herring, Daniel Thistle and Kiersten Pedersen, and her best friend Mary Bliss of Wethersfield. A memorial service will be held Thursday July 2 at 1:00 PM in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 11 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., Rocky Hill, CT. 06067. For online condolences please visit www. mulryanfh.com.
