Obituary of Karl R. Sartoris

Karl Robert Sartoris, 75, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Carolyn (Thompson) Sartoris, died, Friday, October 23, 2015, at Manchester Memorial Hospital. A lifelong resident of Glastonbury, he was born on December 13, 1939 in Hyannis, Massachusetts. Karl worked as a service manager at Monaco and Dillon Ford, and part time at Katz Hardware. He was in the Air Force Reserves, a trustee at Buckingham Congregational Church, and was very active in the Glastonbury Historical Society. Karl enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, reading, swimming, and the beach. When he was a young boy he spent his summers on the Cape and later in life he retired and spent his winters in Florida. Karl is survived by his wife Carolyn, his son Robert L. Sartoris, and his wife Meaghan, of South Windsor, and his three grandchildren, Graeden, Sarah, and Kellie. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015 at10:00a.m. in Buckingham Congregational Church, 16 Cricket Ln., Glastonbury.
