We will never forget Aunt Jo. Today I read my diary from our 1974 trek across the country and, when the black bear was at our campsite, Aunt Jo and Uncle Herb slept in the tent so that Bill and I could sleep in the VW bus. And who could forget tiger's milk? Did I mention she liked to speed when she was driving? I can still hear Uncle Herb telling me that I should follow his driving habits and not hers! Aunt Jo loved the outdoors and I am forever grateful for her kindness and generosity. She had a great laugh, too. I will miss her dearly.

We will always remember the fun we had with Aunt Jo - she truly was a great spirit and leader in this wonderful family, and I give her credit for getting us all up Tuckerman's Ravine, for waking us to ski, and for taking us to museum after museum, teaching us to appreciate all the senses and always to push us to learn. I especially remember our trip to Washington, and how much fun she had showing us around! She will live through us forever more...
