Obituary of Chester Stasiowski

Chester Stasiowski, 80, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Jean (Siemionko) Stasiowski, died Monday, April 11, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. Born Sept. 4, 1935 in Chicopee, MA, son of the late Stanley and Katherine (Piekos) Stasiowski, he lived in Glastonbury for the past 50 years. Prior to his retirement he was an Engineer for United Technology Corp (PWC, TP&M) and Siemens Corp. Chet received his engineering degree from UMASS and his Master’s in Physics from Trinity College. He was a member of the Silk City Chorus, St. Dunstan Choir, the Holy Family Laymen’s Retreat League and the Knights of Columbus. Chet received the St. Joseph Medal of Appreciation in 2015. Besides his wife he is survived by his four children and their spouses, Jean-Marie (Carl) Cencetti of Harleysville, PA, Lynn Burke of Manchester, Mark (Karin) Stasiowski of Manchester, Diane (Paul “Trey”) Body of Wallingford, five grandchildren, Carl Cencetti Jr. (Diana), Morgan and Timothy Body, Julia and Ryan Stasiowski. He was predeceased by five brothers and four sisters and their spouses. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 16 at 11am in St. Dunstan Church, 1345 Manchester Rd., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Friday, April 15 from 5-8pm.
