Obituary of Teresa Bruno

Teresa (Mangone) "Tessie" Bruno, having lived a healthy, fruitful 105 years, entered into eternal life reuniting with her beloved husband Alfred. Born January 25, 1907 in New York City, daughter of the late Martino and Rosa (DiBella) Mangone, she lived in New York City and Muro Lucano, Italy prior to World War 1, returning to New York and later to the Bronx where they raised their family. Tessie moved to Wethersfield, CT in 1989 and later to Glastonbury for the past 9 years. Her final year was spent at the Glastonbury Health Care Center where she received comforting care from all. She leaves a daughter and son-in-law Rosalie and Carmine Esposito of South Glastonbury, a son and daughter-in-law Robert and Camille Bruno of New Rochelle, NY, 4 cherished grandchildren and their spouses, Carmine J. and Deborah Esposito of Glastonbury, Lisa Esposito of Glastonbury, Dory and Marty Jensen and Terry Bruno of Pelham, NY, 7 great grandchildren, Juliana and Larisa Esposito, Christy Liberto, Bobby, Jessica and Jennifer Jensen and Camille Bruno. She was predeceased by a granddaughter Cynthia Bruno. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 18 at 11am in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury. Burial will be in St. Raymond Cemetery, Bronx, NY on Saturday. There are no calling hours.
