What an inspiration Aunt Dot is. There are many funny stories where she was subject or perpetrator of a prank, organizer of a theme party, trip planner, family and friend parties..everyone seemed family to Aunt Dot and was welcomed to join in, have a laugh and keep a light heart.
I remember when she roped Uncle Jim into driving a carload of cousins with a trailer full of bikes to Hyannis when I was about 12...for a week long Youth Hostel vacation to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. Aunt Dot was the lone guide who slept in the bunks, wore a rain poncho while biking from site to site, helped teach us about togetherness and team spirit while doing the dishes, finding the bright spots in each day and each person. Well done! Life was always an adventure...
I am happy to have had such a warm and generous Aunt in our cast of characters of a family. It is lovely to see her generous and fun spirit continue in her grandchildren too..with love, Sandy

Fitzie - a one of a kind "Aunt Dot" who taught me the many wonders of gardening, gave me my first job pulling Japanese beetles off of her treasured rose bushes at the beach for a penny a piece, and graciously explained the difference between a weed and a perennial after I pulled all the wrong ones! A true gem of a woman in every way possible, Aunt Dot exemplified gentle and generous kindness to all who crossed her path, even those who didn't - whether they had two, four or many more legs (except those Japanese beetles of course! I suppose she could have drowned them in Dewars rather than kerosene?) Her warm, welcoming smile and unique little chuckle are trademarks that will live on forever and is most certainly brightening the heavens above for endless "Happy Days". A gigantic "Tah Dah!" to you, Fitzie, for showing us how to truly enjoy life! Keep the party going up there...I'll switch the beetles to Dewars here. To Dorrie, Suey, Debbie, spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, may she live on in your hearts and visit you often with warm-fuzzy memories! XOXOX "Lisa Lee"

I was so saddened to read of Fitzy's passing. I came to know her the last few years and quickly became a fan of hers. She was gracious, sweet, kind, funny, and very thoughtful, always showing gratitude towards others for even the slightest kindness. She showed great joy outwardly when live music was provided for entertainment. It was fun to be with her. She was very special and I am grateful to have known her. Blessings to all her family at this sad time.
