Obituary of Ann Fierravanti Bisi
Ann Marie (Fierravanti) Bisi beloved wife of 61 years to the late Joseph M. Bisi passed away peacefully on July 11, 2016 at home as she wished surrounded by her loving family. Ann was born in Hartford CT and lived most of her in life in Glastonbury, the daughter of the late Nicola and Mary Antoinette (Pizzirusso) Fierravanti. Ann was employed by the Internal Revenue Service and the Hartford Insurance Company retiring in 1990. Her real passion was working with young children which lead her to further education in early childhood and teaching preschool for many years at O’Dell’s Country Day School in Glastonbury and A Learning Experience Pre-School in Wethersfield which allowed her to touch the lives of so many young children. A passionate cook and baker she enjoyed opening her house to anyone at anytime to gather and share an abundance of food and conversation. Ann leaves her sons and their spouses, Michael and Julie of Wethersfield, Anthony and Robin of Glastonbury. Grandchildren Greggory Bisi and his wife Shelby, Christopher Bisi and his girlfriend Amanda Davis, Stephanie Finn and her husband Vance Spicer and her cherished great grandchildren Aidan and Grace Bisi and several nieces and nephews. In addition she leaves her sisters Dolores Silvestro and Teresa Fierravanti. She was predeceased by sisters Carmella Milardo, Rose Siwy and brothers Vito and Rocco Fierravanti. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Joseph Danilyw for his many years of taking such great care of our Mother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday July 18 at 10am in St. Augustine Church, 55Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Sunday July 17 from 2-5pm. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105 or made to other cancer research projects of the donors choice.
