Obituary of David Kinghorn Morway

David K. Morway, 73, of Glastonbury, died Sunday August 28, 2016 at Hartford Hospital. Born March 11, 1943 in Hartford, son of the late Sperry E., Sr. and Edith (Kinghorn) Morway, he was a lifelong resident of Glastonbury. Prior to his retirement he was a welder. Dave graduated from Monson Academy in Massachusetts and from Mitchell College in New London. He was a First Lieutenant in the Army having served in Vietnam where he received the Bronze Star. He is survived by a sister Janet Campbell of East Hartford, 2 nephews Dean Campbell of Manchester, Thomas Morway of Glastonbury, a niece Laura Gill of East Hartford and many grandnieces and grandnephews. A special thanks to his caregiver Heidi Dillard of Manchester. He was predeceased by a brother Sperry E. Morway, Jr., a sister Martha Jane Morway and a nephew Christopher Morway. A graveside service with military honors will be held Friday Sept. 2 at 1:00pm in the CT. State Veterans Cemetery, Bow Lane, Middletown, CT. There are no calling hours.
