Obituary of Reynolds Pinette

Reynolds C. Pinette, 83, of Manchester, beloved husband of Elizabeth (Jandreau) Pinette, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at home. Born September 11, 1928 in Fort Kent, Maine, son of the late Levite and Marguerite (Corbin) Pinette, he had lived in South Glastonbury for 55 years moving to Manchester 6 years ago. Prior to his retirement in 1989 he was a machinist at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 38 years. Mr. Pinette had served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus in Glastonbury. Besides his wife he is survived by his 6 children and their spouses; Michael Pinette of Rocky Hill, Sheila and Bill Guzman of Marlborough, Lois and Gerald Batchelder of Hebron, David and Susan Pinette of Glastonbury, Audrey Pinette of Glastonbury and Jennie Pinette of Manchester. He also leaves 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters. He loved gardening, making and finishing furniture for his loved ones and was happiest spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 9 at 10am in St. Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., South Glastonbury. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Friday, June 8 from 5-7pm.
