I am so VERY sorry. My short but most memorable friendship was with David and Joanne when we met on vacation in Mexico. It was a vacation full of fun, laughs and more laughs. Our friendship slipped away, but the memories lasted. Please know that my heart aches for all who knew David and hope he's up in Heaven playing an awesome game of golf! Peace.

For years I knew Dave Elliot as a talented and valued law partner and friend. David was richly gifted with many legal talents that permitted him easily to benefit his clients. When sought out, David was always happy to confer with any partner who needed an assist. In addition to his work, David always made time for both family and friends. On a personal level, my wife Debby and I, being parents of a son with intellectual disabilities, greatly appreciated the extra support that David ably and willingly gave to Camp Hemlocks in Hebron. Today we feel quite sure that David must have been loved, and will now be missed, by many like us.

David,
Will miss most everything about your wonderful love of life and your presence in so many parts of ours. Am sure you are already starting a band in your new venue and straightening out the procedural aspects of admissions there, which did not serve you so well. Hope your golf game is always below par. Thinking of you every day always, dear friend. Love,
Scott

It is with heart felt sorrow to leave a message here. David was as close of a friend as a brother can be. We had many good times together from up at the nursery in the 70s to Bens wedding this year.. I will miss him dearly and as I always said to him he is my hero and will always be. The world as I know it will not be the same.

Joanne and Ben:
Our deepest and most heartfelt sympathy and condolences.
David was an outstanding lawyer with many talents, but an even better person whom I am proud to call my friend. We go back a very long time....College, Law School, South Highland Street in West Hartford, to his singing the most "Beautiful" song at our wedding reception 35 years ago. Throughout all these years he was always there whenever I needed advice, counsel, some thoughts on a case, or just someone to commiserate with. He was always interested in what was going on and I will forever miss our phone calls and all too infrequent lunches. I will miss his big smile and "man hug" whenever we would see one another. He had a brilliant legal mind mixed with his amazing musical talent. He will be sorely missed by all.
I hope that for you and your family (as well as for all of us who loved him ) that the pain we feel at this moment will soon be replaced by the fond and happy memories of the time we shared in his company. It is not what we have lost, but rather what we have been given by knowing such a wonderful person.
Fondly,
Mickey and Linda Jainchill

David was fine, rare and complex as a glass of Domaine romanee Conti. Since our teenage years, he remained a true friend and devoted musician. Although he progressed to great heights in his legal career, he was never more than a phone call away. David was generous with his time and camaraderie.
I loved him like a brother. My wife and I send our heartfelt condolences to the family.
