Obituary of Donald W. Tryon

Donald W. Tryon passed away on March 26, 2017 of natural causes at Hartford Hospital. Son of the late Raymond and Hilda Tryon of South Glastonbury, Don graduated from Glastonbury High School. He worked at Mosley’s Dairy for many years, Arbor Acres as a Truck Driver, Bus Driver for Glastonbury School System and delivered for the Hartford Courant. Don loved working in his vegetable garden with his Money Maker cigar and Fawnee running around in the garden, and loved the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox and of course, UConn Women’s Basketball. He leaves behind his beloved and caregiving wife Diane, daughters Marlene Michonski, Donna Zucek and husband Dan of Easthampton MA, Lois Nergon and husband Elvin of Holyoke MA, Kathy Pouska of Southampton MA, son Stephen Tryon and wife Tammy of Las Vegas NV, daughter-in-law Deborah Tryon of Easthampton MA, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, stepsons Gary Draghi of South Windsor and Paul Berloni of Florida, sisters Helen Taylor of Portland, Shirley Fuller, Dorothy Devereaux, Frances Barker all of Glastonbury and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Donald Jr. and his brother Warren Tryon. Funeral service will be held Friday March 31 at 10am in the First Church of Christ, Congregational, 2183 Main St. Glastonbury. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Broad St., Manchester. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Thursday March 30 from 4-7pm.
