Obituary of Richard F. Gority, Sr.

Richard F. Gority, Sr., 84 of Glastonbury passed away peacefully Sunday August 6, 2017. He was born in Altoona, PA son of the late William R. and Rhoda B. (Pentz) Gority.  He was retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft.  Richard will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.  He is survived by his son and daughter in law Richard F. Jr. and Gina Gority of Glastonbury, Diane Gority of East Hartford and three grandchildren Chelsea (Gority) and Joe Salafia of RI & Patrick and David Gority of CA.  He was predeceased by his wife Helen Gority and his son David, four sisters Delores Behe, Aileen Fornwalt, Donna Landry and Dorothy Slemmer and a brother William Gority. A memorial service will be held Friday August 11 at 11am in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Burial will be private. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cherish the Children Foundation, P. O.
