Obituary of Priscilla Odell

Priscilla Marston Odell, 85, of Glastonbury, CT and beloved wife for 63 years of the late Harry Odell, passed away on Tuesday (July 17, 2012) surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Swampscott, MA, of the late Frank and Dorothy (Beckman) Marston, and grew up in Marblehead, MA. Priscilla graduated in 1944 from Marblehead High School. Following high school, she attended Westbrook Junior College in Portland, ME earning an Associates Degree. After graduation in 1946, Priscilla married Harry and they began raising their family in Marblehead. In 1960, the Odells moved to Glastonbury, where they spent the next 50 plus years. A member of The General Society of Mayflower Descendants, Priscilla was a descendant and namesake of passenger Priscilla Mullins (wife of John Alden). She was also one of the founding lifetime members of the Woodledge Club in Glastonbury, and a 50-year patron of the Hartford Stage. She was passionate about playing and watching tennis, doing puzzles, and spending time with her family. Priscilla was predeceased by her loving husband Harry in 2009, and her sister Virginia Hayes in 2011. She is survived by her three children: Wendy Odell Berryman and her husband Rick of West Lebanon, NH, Kimberly Odell Ordway and her husband David of Freeport, ME, and Craig W. Odell of East Hampton, CT; her six grandchildren: Jaime Berryman, Tracy Burton and her husband Shawn, Shonna and Gregory Ordway, LeighAnn and Hailey Odell; two great grandchildren: Emma and Logan Burton; and several nieces and nephews.
