Obituary of Joao Capaz Silva

Joao Capaz Silva, 78, of East Hartford, beloved husband of Elvira (Paomole) Silva, died Friday September 22, 2017 at the Glastonbury Health Care Center. Born July 23, 1939 in Portugal, son of the late Mario and Maria Silva, he had lived in East Hartford since 1970. Prior to his retirement he worked for the Town of Glastonbury for 35 years. Besides his wife he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mario and Alcioneide Silva of Glastonbury, a grandson Joao Victor Silva of Glastonbury, a brother Mario Capaz Silva and a sister Adelina Rodrigues both in Portugal and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a sister Maria De Lourdes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday Sept 27 at 10am in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 50 Kane St., Hartford. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury.  Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Tuesday Sept. 26 from 5-7pm.
