I worked with Mary at the Glastonbury Board of Education and you could not ask for a more warm and caring person. She and Ed were very special people. My son and I spent time with them at their beach home in Rhode Island. I haven't seen Mary for a long time but thought of her often. She loved her family. She will be missed by all of us.

Dear Jan, With great sorrow, I read of your mother's passing. It sounds as though she had a very tough go with cancer. This must have been terribly difficult for you and all of your family members. Hers is a beautiful write up of an extraordinary loving, giving woman who has left you too soon. Her photo reflects the description of her cheerful and freely giving soul. I am so deeply sorry. With love to you, Lisa J. Whatmore seatmate '75

Mary was the sweetest, most giving & fun-loving person I was ever privileged to know.
When I went back to work at Glastonbury Board of Education, after 15 years as a stay-at-home mom, Mary became my lifesaver in helping me acclimate to a new and intimidating environment.
Although I haven't seen her in a number of years, she always held a special place in my heart.
My sincere condolences to her entire family. She will be greatly missed.

A more caring and generous spirit you would be hard pressed to find. Mom Wiz - thank you for gracing the world and bringing all who loved and knew you so much happiness, joy and love. You are now reunited with your one true love - Ed - I imagine you dancing and laughing in the heavens.
I will miss you dearly and cherish all of our memories.
Love,
Jola

I am so happy to have all of the fond memories of Mary that we shared throughout the years. She was a very special lady and I hold a special place in my heart for her. Her strength amazed me. Through all of her suffering she was always worried and concerned about everyone else.
I am so sorry for your loss. I know words won't make it any easier but please know that Mary and all of you are in my thought and prayers. Thank you for sharing her with all of us. She will be missed.
Love, Anne

My heart goes out to all of you. Mary was a very special friend of many wonderful, fun filled years. After we moved from CT, Mary and I always kept in touch by email. Very long, heart filled, funny, not always making sense emails back and forth. We kept up with each others life and both of our large families. I usually spent a week in CT each fall with my daughter Brenda and always made plans with Mary to get together. For a few years it was meeting for lunch with other "Benton Lane Gang" friends but after a few years, it was just Mary and I as others, sadly, had passed on. Mary and I would find a place for lunch where we could hide in a corner table and talk, talk for hours. How I will miss that time together. How I will miss the excitement of seeing an email from her, anxious to hear of family news. The sadness I always felt to hear of her recent bouts with her cancer, but......... she was ALWAYS upbeat and positive. An amazing lady, for sure. I'm feeling an emptiness in my heart as I know each of you are too. A very special lady has entered heaven and will be missed by every life she has touched. With sadness and Love to all, Donna
