Obituary of Thales Theodore

Thales Theodore “Ted”, 93, of Glastonbury, beloved husband for 67 years of Matilda (Yalanzon) Theodore, died Sunday October 1, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. Born May 24, 1924 in Komotini, Greece, he immigrated to the United States in 1949. He received his DDS from St. Louis University in 1956 and practiced dentistry in Dayton, Ohio for 30 years. After retirement Ted and his wife lived in Duck Key, FL for 16 years before moving to South Glastonbury in 2010. Ted was a  world traveler, a 32nd Degree Mason and was an avid tennis player. Besides his wife he is survived by 2 daughters and their husbands, Diana and Mark Zaremba and Christine and Jack Greene all of South Glastonbury, 5 grandchildren, Michael Greene and Brendan Greene, Lauren Ziccardi and her husband Arthur, Kathryn Gilbert and her husband Eric and Steven Zaremba and a great granddaughter Sofia Ziccardi. Funeral service will be Wednesday Oct. 4 at 10:30am at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 433 Fairfield Ave., Hartford. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury.
