Obituary of Glen P. Delton
Glen P. Delton, age 47, passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer at home in Hebron surrounded by his loving family on Thursday October 5, 2017. He is survived by his adoring wife Kelly (Dailey) Delton and his three beautiful children, Jessica, Joshua and Benjamin. Born May 1, 1970 he was the son of Walter and Gloria (Lichota) Delton of Glastonbury. Glen leaves two siblings, Brian Delton along with his partner Kristin Essig of Ellington and Karen Delton of Glastonbury. As well as, his paternal Grandmother Jean Ann Delton of East Hartland. Glen also leaves behind his father and mother-in-law, Ed and Lynn (Olschefskie) Dailey of East Hampton, and three sister and brother-in-law’s. Carrie and James Czapiga of Hebron and their children Kaitlyn, Kyle, Nathan, Joseph and Hannah, Coreen and James Rogers of Hebron and their children Devon and Nicole and Pamela and Mark Pawlina of Chatham, MA and their children Jacob, Madison, Brendan and Mark. As well as, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins all of whom loved him dearly.
Glen received his Master’s in Business Analytics and Project Management from UCONN and was a dedicated employee of Cigna for over 20 years. He was an avid runner, enjoyed boating, skiing at Mt. Snow, and was loyal fan of the Boston Red Sox. Glen’s main focus in life was his wife and children. He enjoyed coaching baseball, watching his boys play a variety sports and watching his daughter Jessica cheerlead at RHAM football games and compete at Patti Dunne’s gymnastic meets. Although he could be quiet and reserved, Glen had a sharp sense of humor and was a master of the one liner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday Oct. 12 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Family, 185 Church St., Hebron. A committal service and reception will follow Mass in the Garden of Remembrance behind Gilead Congregational Church in the Gilead section of Hebron. Friends and Family may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Wednesday October 11 from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hebron Baseball Association in Memory of Glen P. Delton, P.O. Box 699, Hebron, CT 06248. In addition, please join us in supporting Glen’s memory at the Glastonbury Applefest 5K run on Sunday, October 15, 2017.
