Obituary of Nancy Banks

Nancy Palmer Banks of Glastonbury, CT passed away peacefully after a long illness, with family at her side on, Saturday, July 28. Nancy was born in Allentown, PA. She is the daughter of Stuart W. Palmer and Ethel K. Parshley of West Hartford, CT. She was a graduate of Hall High School and Edgewood Jr. College in Briarcliff, NY. Nancy lived in Glastonbury since 1960. She was active in the Republican Women's Club, A founding member of the Woodledge Swim Club, The Professional Business Women of Hartford and a retiree of Aetna, Inc. Nancy is survived by her brothers, Steven K. Palmer of Darien, CT, Douglas W. Palmer of West Norriton, PA, four children, Peter of Lampertheim, Germany, Bob of Colchester, CT, Sarah of Henderson, CO, and Tom of St. Petersburg, FL, as well as nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Nancy's greatest joys in life were family, close friends and her pets. She will surely be missed by all that knew her. A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, August 11 at 1pm at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Congregational Church, 30 High Street, South Glastonbury, CT 06073.
