Obituary of Deanna E. Bailey Nasto

Deanna E. (Bailey) Nasto, 79, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of John R. Nasto, peacefully passed on from this world as she re-commenced her spiritual journey surrounded by her family on Friday January 19, 2018 at Hartford Hospital. Born February 6, 1938 in Little Falls, NY, daughter of the late Herman and Elizabeth (Rojance) Bailey, she had lived in Glastonbury for the past 30 years. Deanna was a member of the Glastonbury Garden Club and the Hartford Hospital Strong Woman, and loved being a grandmother to her 6 grandchildren. Besides her husband of 60 years, she is survived by 3 children and their spouses, Carl and Catherine Nasto of Avon, Licia and Christopher Kaswer of Avon, Michael and Nancy Nasto of Scottsdale, AZ, a sister Elaine Kenyon of Clinton Township, MI, and 6 beloved grandchildren, Alexandra and Brian Nasto, Lianne, Jeremy and Brandon Kaswer, and Lexi Nasto. Being a strong-willed woman of Germanic and Slovene descent, Deanna instilled discipline and structure with an overabundance of love that provided a wonderful and happy home life for her family, and the foundation that enabled her husband, children and grandchildren to achieve their academic and professional goals and dreams. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday Jan. 27 at 11am in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery, South Glastonbury.
