Obituary of Jeffrey D. Porzio

Jeffrey D. Porzio, 33, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Annett (Sesulka) Porzio,

died Tuesday June 12, surrounded by his family at Hartford Hospital. Born November 3, 1984 in Hartford, son of Donald and Nancy (Bienvenue) Porzio of Glastonbury.  After graduating from Glastonbury High School, Jeff joined the US Army serving 12 years as a medic. During that time, he completed 3 tours overseas in Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan. Most recently, Jeff was a landscaper with Highlight Landscaping.

If you needed a friend, Jeff was your guy. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, had an excellent sense of humor, and was kind to everyone. He loved playing paintball with his buddies, going for hikes with his family, but most of all, he loved being with his daughter, Aaliyah. They always had fun together. Besides his wife and parents he is survived by his daughter Aaliyah Porzio at home, a sister Karen Scholl and her husband Doug and their children Delaney and Kendall of Quaker Hill, his sister-in-law Sheila Evans and her husband Jason and their children Elaine and Chance of New Orleans, his father-in-law Matthias Sesulka of Germany, his aunts and uncle, Barbara Planeta of Marlborough, Jack and Gale Bienvenue of Franklin,  Frances and Francis Gray of Meriden, several cousins, even more friends, and his little dog Trigger. Funeral service will be held Tuesday June 19 at 11am in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, followed by military honors. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday June 18 from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a scholarship fund for his daughter Aaliyah to Farmington Bank, 669 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, CT. 06033.  For online condolences please visit www.mulryanfh.com.
