My sincerest condolences go out to John's family. I will really miss him at the Hearth. He loved reading the newspaper and asking me what today's headlines were. In fact, he knew far more about what was going on in the world than I did. Rest in Peace John.
My favorite memory of my grandfather was his love for cookies! Over the past years I would make him some of his favorite treats like sugar and chocolate cookies. He would eat almost the entire plate full within minutes! I will miss making him cookies personally but will have him with me every time I bake some of his favorite treats.
