Obituary of Mary M. Ryan

Mary Ryan, 90, of Glastonbury passed away peacefully Friday, June 14^th.

Mary was born and raised in Yonkers, NY. A graduate of Katherine Gibbs School, Mary enjoyed a full career as an Executive Secretary in a variety of businesses throughout her New York career. After moving to Glastonbury to be near her family, Mary continued her career, retiring from RLI just before her 80^th birthday.

Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Steve Holland. She was most proud of her grandchildren Maureen, Nora and Thomas.

In addition to many dear friends and family, Mary leaves behind her nephews and their wives, Edmund and Lori Ryan and John and Luciana Ryan, as well as her sister-in-law and good friend Dr. Ermelinda Sgro.

Since full retirement, Mary has enjoyed current events, activities at the Glastonbury Senior Center and daily calls with friends and family.

A kind and generous woman with deep devotion to faith, family and country; Mary valued integrity, hard work and allegiance. A few of Mary’s maxims: Do what is right, be right in what you do and dress well, you never know who you will meet or opportunity you’ll encounter.
