Joe was one of my favorite people in the world. I looked forward to seeing him almost daily in the winter when I was working at Harvest in Oro Valley and eventually our friendship grew past the restaurant. When I got married he took my wife and I out to one of the nicest dinners I ever had and when I got divorced he took me out again and let me cry on his shoulder. I always treasured the wisdom he would bestow upon me whether it be in business, relationships, or golf and tried to absorb as much as possible. I retold many of his stories to my friends and family and was even privileged to meet many of his friends and family. To me Joe was always larger than life and I always looked forward to our next visit. I didn’t get to see him this year as I was spending time abroad and was hoping to catch up and tell him all about my adventures when I got back, it broke my heart the other day when I heard that I wouldn’t be able to do so ever again. I’d like to think he’s smiling down on all of us with a Hendricks on the rocks with a twist in his hand and a golf club in the other.

My sincere sympathy wishes to you Kathy and all Joe’s family in the loss of this giant of a man. He was involved, interesting and even intriguing as he burst through life with a ton more gusto than most. Joe was just a lot more interesting than most would think of an insurance guy. I’m glad I was one too for if not, I probably would never had known and enjoyed being Joe's friend. May he rest in eternal peace.

Peace and Love Always. I cherish the special times I shared with Joe. I am blessed to have him as a friend. I will remember times we shared with a glass of wine, a Monte Cristo while watching the sunset on the Catalina Mountains. Rest in peace my brother.
