We were so very sorry to hear about Kathy. I guess we always figure there will be more time to reconnect as I remember the time we spent together in grammar and high school in Bloomfield then Glastonbury. Sending out sincere condolences.

Nicole and family, I am so saddened to hear of your loss. Kathy "Kath" was such a wonderful friend to my Dad (Jelly), not only while she was his neighbor, but right up until his passing last year. He loved his sweets and Kathy was always bringing him her homemade goodies. She and I had some wonderful conversations and she was very supportive while my Dad was going through a very difficult time with health issues. She was a kind and loyal friend with a big heart. She will be missed by many. Cherish your wonderful memories.

Dear Kathleen
I remember sitting on the stairs of that house on East Harold St watching you try to walk across the living room with books balanced on your head. What a hoot! Why in the world?... to learn to walk with poise, you told me.Time and again you persisted in your effort. Later on in adult life I came to understand that poise meant much more than walking gracefully. It became the underpinning of your timeless identity. One of a calm and confident manner. You traveled through this life in control of your feelings and behavior. You were fully dedicated to doing the right thing with ease, dignity and self assurance. You were the first. The first born, the first to start school, the first first communion, the first to graduate and sadly now, the first sibling to depart this earth. You always set a good example for me as we grew. Until the end of your days you persisted with graceful and elegant bearing to show gentle compassion and caring to those of us you were leaving behind. I love you big sister. I am glad that you are free of that broken body. You have given me many memories to treasure until we meet again. Until then, God bless you and keep you.

To Kathy's family, so sorry to hear of her passing. Kathy used to stop & chat with my Dad on her walks on Main St in Portland. Even tho its been 13 years since he died, I remember her kindness to my Dad and smile. May she rest in peace. Kindness is never forgotten.

The quintessential big sister, Kathleen, you guided us all with your strong moral compass, love, compassion and unfailing sense of humor.
I miss our silly phone calls, pages of texts, the sound of your laughter.
Wayne and I cherish the memories of our carefree days with you and John, that seque into our serious time caring for Dad and Mom.
The golden memories, though , are of Cole Cottage, savoring Maine, and our precious time together. The best days and nights of our lives.
The void you left is huge , my heart is broken from the loss of you, but I find solace in knowing that you are with Dad and, when the time is right, we will all be joyously reunited.

My big sister, always my idol. My mentor. My friend. Best advice giver. Your departure has left a huge void. Thank goodness for memories. We have many. Some of my favorites include sitting at your table playing gin rummy. Making grapevine wreaths. Picking a puppy...I dont know how you did it. We spent 3 hours with 12 golden pups..all seemed the same to me, but you could just tell those subtle differences. But my most favorite are the times we spent at Cole Cottage, porch sitting, people watching and just being together. We sure had laughs. You're my angel now. I still need you, maybe more than ever. Until we meet again just know you are in my thoughts and Always in my heart.
