Kathleen Roncaioli

Obituary of Kathleen C. Roncaioli

Kathleen Dawn (Carroll) Roncaioli, 70, passed away June 26th. She was surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

To anyone who knew Kathleen, she was a person who did things on her own terms and appreciated privacy and avoided drama and hysterics. Kath was as strong and fierce as they came, along with talented and incredibly smart. She asked to keep her very short illness quiet until the time came that sharing it would be for her family’s support during a difficult time.

To the blonde hair, blue eyed, beautiful woman that was a mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend; we will always remember you. Each time there is a Tom Petty song playing, a good book is finished, or time is taken to simply sit in the sand and stare at the sea you will be filling the hearts of all who loved you.

Kath was powered with an unstoppable work ethic, the gift of cooking and baking, and one of the greenest thumbs around. She was the first to help, loved to teach, and truly lived by the moto: “Do what is right. Always.”

As much pain as this loss is bringing to those who knew Kath, there is also the feeling of gratefulness for the time spent and for the wonderful memories filled with laughter and love.

Kathleen is predeceased by her father, Paul J. Carroll and ex-husband, (but best friend), John J. Roncaioli III. She is survived by her mother, Bertha C. Carroll and her dear siblings: Michael P. Carroll; Susan C. Schnell and husband Wayne; Christine C. Boilard; Pamela C. Trench and husband David; and Jennifer Carroll. Kath also leaves behind one of her greatest loves, her daughter, Nicole M. Roncaioli and husband Justin Dutton along with many nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Funeral services will be private at Kathleen’s request. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of the donor’s choice.
