It has been 47 years since Joyce and I graduated from Russell Sage College together and I am sad to say that we lost touch shortly thereafter. I remember Joyce so well because we shared the same freshman residence hall and later, many classes together. Joyce was always a positive energy on campus. I never remember her having a negative word for or about anyone. She was highly regarded by her friends and professors alike. She always had an encouraging word for those who felt that their lives were not heading down the path of success. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dearest Irv, Taken so young, she was a beautiful lovely person. I lost Joe 7 years ago and still have a hole in my heart, which I am certain will be the same with you. After such a long happy life, the loss is so hard to describe. I am certain family and friends will be a big source of comfort. Just wanted you to know I am thinking of you.

Hi Britt-I am terribly sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I lost my father 11 months ago. Please know that you and your entire family are in my prayers during this trying time. Keep your mother's memory alive by talking about her all the time with your children. That is how I keep my father's memory alive with my two nephews. Sincerely- Jessica Wooldridge

I was so sad to hear of Joyce's passing. I will never forget her and her passion for life. She was truly an inspiration to me and I hold close the many conversations we shared while her mom was a resident at Geriatric Authority. She had so much energy and radiated light wherever she went! May your memories of her light your way through these dark days. With deepest sympathy…Michele Creamer LICSW

Dear Family-thoughts and prayers are with you all. I know you don,t know me but I grew up with Joyce in Milford and then we both moved to Hopedale and graduated together. I need to share this memory. Her Nana lived in Milford and when we went to visit she was always "cooking". She would look at me and say in her broken English "You to skinny-eat!" She would also say something in Italian!! Peace be with you all-Sandy

Our story, how we met, a story we told to each other so many times and how we laughed! I will try to make this brief--were we ever brief??!!
It will be thirty years this July 2 or 3, 1984. We were both shopping at Franks (where Whole Foods is now). The day was beautiful and the store crowded, people getting ready for the Fourth. My cart was Full, everyone's cart was Full. So I formed in line. There was this Very pleasant women ahead of me, she too had a Full cart! We started chatting, and just having a grand time, finally she was checked out--we talked the whole time, she waited for me while my bundles were loaded, then we both walked out into the parking lot -- stood there till we finally bid each other a good holiday--never exchanging names. Three weeks later I began my new job with Merrill Lynch Realty, going to the corporate office in W.H. with Camille Bushnell (then office manager). We went into the offices of Amy Twill and who should be sitting there, also a new agent --yes, Joyce! We both shrieked with excitement as to the wonderful coincidence of meeting again. The rest is history, developing into a friendship never to be forgotten.

Irv, Brit and Family, Scott and I are so sorry to hear about Joyce's passing. She was a beloved friend to us. She guided me thru buying and selling three homes and was like a second mom to me. My heartfelt sympathy to your entire family. Joyce was the most amazing woman. She was small in stature, but she towered over everybody in personality! A kind, loving, generous and sweet woman, she was the consummate professional! I admired her as a person and as a colleague. I loved asking her about her grandchildren, as she would light up and share stories, complete with imitations of their undeveloped language skills! You could hear her talk on the phone with them, and you could feel the love and warmth she shared. We are all so very lucky to have had the wonderful opportunity to have shared time with her. May you find comfort from your many dear family and friends. My love to you all!

Our condolences to Irv, Britt, Mike and the kids. Joyce was Wendy's nearest and dearest friend. Mine, too. Over the years we have spent so much time together enjoying the good times of life that it is very hard to say goodbye. I have tried to think of those wonderful times, trying to pick out the best of them, whether on the slopes of the Klein Matterhorn in Switzerland or enjoying the daffodils in Nantucket in April. But I guess my fondest memories of Joyce will be at her home in Glastonbury, behind the kitchen counter, where she always had that radiant smile, and saying mangia, mangia. Joyce will always be in our hearts.
